I categorically have a hard time determining where to start talking about dollhouse accessories - there are so many accessories and so many dissimilar varieties to cover that I'm afraid I'll have to pick just a very few to cover here.
The first very confident dollhouse accessory is furniture. If you have a dollhouse, you must have some kind of furniture to put in it- if it's just an empty box, then there's no fun with that, is there?

The dollhouse furniture you choose to put in your dollhouse reflects your personal tastes in many ways. For example, the traditionalist may want a dollhouse filled with natural wood furnishings, or even some Victorian dollhouse furniture. If this describes you, then reconsider yourself fortunate indeed. There are so many manufacturers who make wooden and Victorian dollhouse furniture that you may have a difficult time making a choice. More good news - the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the choice is huge. You can even buy furniture kits if you're a do-it-yourself person, and you can even save more money like this!
There's a business called Renwal that made period plastic furniture in the 1940's and 1950's that are plentiful and cheap even now. Renwal furniture was made in the image of the furniture beloved then, and today it looks great - still. But you have to like this style of furniture, and it is difficult to mix it with other vintage furniture.
You categorically can't exclude Dora the Explorer dollhouse and all of the Dora accessories. There's the bedroom set with bunk beds, Tico and the soccer field, Dora talking couches and other talking furniture. And here's one of my favorites - the Puerto Verde schoolhouse along with chalkboard, locker, plant, a waste can, a trophy and a globe! And then there's the Dora truck - and the pool (for cooling off after a hot day). If your dollhouse enthusiast is young enough, a Dora dollhouse and accessories can be a great fit.
Don't forget about all of the dollhouse accessories that are for the covering of your dollhouse. If your imagination (and space) is great, you can get horses and corrals, cars, trucks, moats, boats motorhomes and every other foreseen, accessory that usually goes on the covering of a house. Disney and Barbie do these covering accessories very well, with the silky pony and all of the thousands of Barbie accessories that are too numerous to list here.
Dollhouse accessories can comprise just about whatever you can think of - and most that you didn't even perceive existed!
